Service Manager – Digital Innovation
Salary: £62,273 - £65,017
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Penrith, Kendal or Barrow and potential for some agile working
Contract: Permanent
About this opportunity
The post will play a critical role in driving forward the digital ambition for the council, engaging with service across the whole organisation to identify opportunities for and deliver service redesign, digitisation and efficient ways of working to support the financial sustainability of the council.
You will be organisation’s professional lead for best practice and future strategy in relation to digital innovation, working with services to support them to make the best use of technologies to improve outcomes for citizens and staff.
By offering digital expertise and challenge about the way in which council services currently operate, you will embrace an evidence and data driven approach to develop services that put the customer at the heart of everything we do, maximising the use of resources and making the best use of technology.
Who we are looking for
You will be passionate about digital innovation, user experience and ensuring they are put at the heart of service design. This will sit alongside an excellent track record in managing change in a complex setting. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively with partners, providers, and internal colleagues to achieve shared outcomes and goals. As a respected leader you will have a positive, solution focused mindset and be resilient
