Hourly Rate: £13:05
The advertised hourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.
Location(s): Barrow in Furness - Mill Lane Day Opportunities, primarily Chatsworth Crafts, but successful candidate may be required to work across other services as required.
Available Hours: 28 & 21 hours per week

We have opportunities for caring, compassionate, and enthusiastic people to join our Day Opportunity teams as Support Workers providing support and care within our Disability and Mental Health Services.
About the role
As a Day service Support Worker you will get to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You will also assist with medication, providing personal care, and encouraging people to achieve their full potential.
We are looking for support workers who are flexible, enthusiastic, willing to undertake specialised activities and training whilst also sharing your own personal skills, interests and ideas.
In part, this position will include supporting people in woodwork / workshop activities or art and craft activities, therefore we would love to hear from candidates with both skills, experience and interest in these subjects.

About Day Services (DMH)
We offer a diverse range of Day Opportunities for adults with learning and / or physical disabilities. The support offered is highly personalised to meet the needs of the individual, promoting social inclusion and developing independence. We operate from various sites within the town, providing exciting and inclusive day opportunities, tailored care programmes and activities which include, drama, sport, craft, and a wide range of additional building and community-based activities.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check.
