About this opportunity
Adult Learning delivers a wide range of learning programmes up to Level 2, including Functional Skills and GCSE, for Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumberland Council. Our service operates an area based model with core teams in the 6 main localities of Barrow, Carlisle, Kendal, Penrith, Whitehaven and Workington. For this role you will need a physical Cumbria-wide presence.
Who we are looking for…
Mathematics is a critical curriculum for us, and so our standards are high. Our ideal candidate will have taught accredited and non-accredited programmes. They will have significant experience of quality processes such as lesson observations and file audits and understand how these tools improve service quality. A commitment to continuous improvement and driving up standards across the curriculum is also a key requirement of the role. An IQA qualification or a willingness to work towards one in the first 12 months of appointment, is essential.
