We’re looking for a passionate, enthusiastic person to join our dedicated and driven team in Barrow in Furness, as we continue our ambitious programme of change within Adult Social Care. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of our service, contributing to the development and delivery of our goals to improve outcomes for the people we support.
We want you to become an integral part of the implementation phase of our newly established Long-Term Assessment and Review Service across Westmorland and Furness, supporting people aged 18 who are living in the community and have been identified as having longer term care and support needs.

In this role you will work under the guidance and support of qualified practitioners, undertaking strengths-based care and support assessments to develop effective, person-centred support plans, while playing an active role in risk management, monitoring outcomes, and ensuring individuals receive the most effective support. Acting as a point of contact, that communities, people, parents/carers/guardians and their families can trust,

Who we are looking for…
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual with experience or awareness of social care, healthcare, or the voluntary sector. You should be empathic and have strong communication skills to collaborate with customers, carers, and stakeholders. A proactive approach to risk management, and health and safety is essential, along with the ability to plan workloads, meet deadlines, and use IT effectively. Most importantly, you should be committed to promoting independence, influencing positive change, and ensuring high-quality, strengths-based care.
Offering professional development opportunities this role would be a great step for someone who is interested in progressing their career within Adult Social Care. This might be through our apprenticeship programme, where you could apply for one of our Social Work Degree Apprenticeships to become a qualified Social Worker.
