About this opportunity
Cumberland Council is looking for a dynamic and empathetic individual to lead the delivery of our exciting Storysacks Project. This initiative brings the joy of reading beyond library walls, engaging with diverse community groups to foster participation, empowerment, and wellbeing through storytelling.
As our Library Outreach Project Officer, you’ll work flexibly across community settings, building strong relationships with partners, volunteers, and participants. You’ll need experience in project coordination, working with community groups, and a good understanding of the libraries and cultural sector. An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a sensitive, inclusive approach. This role is available on a fixed-term basis.
