Are you a passionate, experienced Social Worker or Occupational Therapist ready to take on a role that will give you the chance to help lead, develop, and support a team of enthusiastic Social Workers?
We currently have the opportunity for a number of Lead Social Workers within our Older Adults and Physical Disabilities team and a Lead Occupational Therapist to join our Services across Adult Social Care.

As one of our valued Lead Social Workers you will work closely with our Team Managers to support team planning, performance management, development and maintaining a positive, strengths-based culture throughout our Service.
You will also manage a small caseload, undertaking strengths-based assessments and delivering appropriate person-centred support and outcomes for people in Westmorland and Furness, who have care and support needs. Consistently working in a way that promotes independence and enables individuals/groups to maximise their strengths.

We are looking for motivated people who share our passion and vision for Adult Social Care who have the ability to:
You will need an accredited Social Work or Occupational Therapy Degree or equivalent Professional Social Work/Occupational Therapy qualification, along with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of your own professional area of practice and the issues currently faced within Adult Social Care.
Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiating, conciliating, people management, written and verbal communication, and motivational skills, are all also essential to the role.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check.
