About this opportunity

Join our dedicated Environmental Crime Team and help create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable Cumberland. We're looking for a proactive and community-focused Engagement Officer to lead high-visibility patrols, educate the public, and build strong relationships with residents, businesses, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patrols to deter fly-tipping, littering, and other environmental offences
• Deliver educational campaigns and community outreach
• Promote responsible waste behaviours and civic pride
• Support enforcement through advice and engagement

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in community engagement or environmental education
• Confidence working independently and in teams
• Basic understanding of environmental legislation

These roles are available on a permanent basis.
