Assistant Director for Transport Policy
Cumbria Combined Authority
Secondment (up to 18 months) | Grade 19 (TBC)
Location: Penrith (regional and occasional national travel required)
Help shape transport policy in a new Combined Authority
About the Role
This is a leadership opportunity to shape the future of transport across Cumbria. You will advise the Combined Authority Board and Chief Executive, lead transport policy development, and drive delivery of key strategies including the Local Transport Delivery Plan (LTDP) and longer-term Local Transport Plan (LTP).
You will also build strong partnerships with local authorities, government departments, transport operators, and national bodies, while leading a high-performing policy team and ensuring decisions are informed by robust data and evidence.
