About this opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of Cumberland Council’s Revenues and Benefits service. It is a challenging and exciting time to work for the Council which has recently celebrated its first year in operation.
The Revenues and Benefits service is part of the Council’s Resources team. The Benefits team supports the community and the needs of its people, as we support those on the lowest income with housing benefit and council tax reduction claims. We are looking for bold, creative, and agile thinkers who can help us move forward and innovate in an ever-changing benefits environment.
Our aim is to provide an efficient service to our residents accurately and quickly. One of our team members says the following about their role: “Working in the Benefits Team means no two days are the same; however, you won’t find a more rewarding role”.
These roles (37H & 22.5H) are available on a fixed-term basis. Although one is full-time, part time and/or job share arrangements may be considered.
