Our Cared For and Care Experienced Team are looking to appoint a dedicated and committed Personal Advisor, to join a service that is passionate about our children and care experienced young people, they really are at the centre of everything we do!
Are you passionate about supporting cared for children and young people? Building positive, meaningful relationships, supporting young people with their finances, housing, education, employment and training, support around their health and emotional wellbeing as well as parenting. Overall, you will provide advice and guidance to ensure they can make positive progress in their live and support them to achieve their goals and ambitions.
If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Cared For and Care Experienced Team 3.

We have an experienced and aspirational management team who are accessible and supportive, working together to create the very best practice environment and practice outcomes for our children, young people and their families.
Here in Cumberland, we have 4 Cared For Children and Care Experienced Teams, made up of Social Workers and Pathway advisors supporting children and young people across the age range (between 0 to 25). Our teams are co-located with team bases in Carlisle and Workington, however we work closely together to ensure we provide the very best care and support.

This role is open to internal applicants only.
Our interview process can accommodate both in-person and virtual formats, with tailored options discussed upon invitation to the interview stage. Preferred for virtual interviews is the use of Microsoft Teams, currently available for new users at no cost. However, should you encounter any challenges accessing this technology, we are open to discussing alternative arrangements prior to the scheduled interviews.
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.
DBS
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with Children.
