Salary: £33,945 to £34,834 (pro-rata)

About this opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with experience of teaching ESOL. Ideally, you will have experience of teaching both accredited and non accredited provision up to, and including, level 2 qualifications (including ESOL Skills for Life). The ideal candidate will also have experience of teaching English, from Entry level to GCSE, or a willingness to develop on the job to be able to deliver this provision.
The ability to adapt and respond positively to emerging learner and local need is an essential skill, as is the ability to work a variety of hours across the working week, including evenings. This post also requires the flexibility to work across various locations in Whitehaven and the surrounding areas, therefore a driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage.
We have a strong commitment to providing progression opportunities to our learners and our Tutor Team plays a key role in positively promoting our service to individuals and communities across Whitehaven through robust information, advice and guidance.
Our service is committed to ensuring the best outcomes for all ESOL learners and works in partnership with the Refugee Resettlement Team to provide excellent teaching and learning opportunities to resettled learners arriving in Cumbria. We work with learners of all abilities in the English Curriculum too, from beginner level to those wishing to achieve a Functional Skills Level 2 or GCSE to further their life and employment opportunities.
