About this opportunity
Join Cumberland Council as a Highways Network Officer and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving and maintaining our highways. In this role, you will carry out surveys, design and supervise works associated with highway projects, assist with winter maintenance operations, and provide technical advice and guidance to colleagues. You will also be involved in planning and managing projects to ensure timely delivery within budget.
Who we’re looking forWe are looking for candidates with a relevant degree or NVQ Level 5, expertise in their professional field, and experience in managing complex projects and contracts. Strong communication skills, political awareness, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
