The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.
About this opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Eden Long Term Social Work Interventions Team for a permanent part time senior social worker. The Eden Social Work team is a settled group of dynamic, experienced, and focussed social work practitioners. You will work closely with partner agencies locally and support colleagues and individuals in a strengths based, person centred approach to assess care needs and undertake support planning in a variety of settings
The Adult Social Care Long Term Service is for people, aged 18+ who are living in the community and have been identified as having long term care and support needs. This service works collaboratively with a range of stakeholders from across the health and social care system and third sector and voluntary groups in Cumbria in ways that recognise strengths, promotes independence and prevents, reduces or delays the need for formal long term care and support provision. Assessments and reviews will be undertaken in a strengths-based way that maximises the use of social capital and community based assets. Please note that whilst flexible working is possible, there is an expectation that the post holder will spend a day or two per week in the Eden office.

DBS
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults.
