Cumberland Council is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of its ambitious Highways works programmes within the Highways & Transport team. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead budgeting and cost management across all highways projects, supporting the delivery of contracts up to £2 million, and work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure successful project outcomes. You’ll also play a key role in contractor performance management and procurement strategy. Current and upcoming projects include compeltion of the Levelling Up Fund programme, Active Travel and Town Deal projects across Cumberland.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for candidates with a relevant degree or NVQ Level 5, strong experience in construction cost management, and a solid understanding of CDM regulations and NEC3 contracts.
