About this opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our team as a Family Resilience Worker.
As a Family Resilience Worker, you will improve outcomes by providing practical support and intervention to vulnerable children, young people, and their families by working as part of a multi-agency team. This is a really practical role that will see you offering support to families, at times, out of normal working hours and at weekends, as these are the times that families need most support. As a Family Resilience Worker you will be supporting families within their homes, often in times of crisis, to enable children and young people to be safe and happy at home. You are calm in a crisis and utilise good communication and interpersonal skills to work with families to rebuild relationships. You will have the skills to work with others to assess the needs of children and work with others to produce and execute a plan of intervention to address the needs of children and their families.
You will support parents and carers to increase their skills and confidence in providing nurturing parenting for those they are caring for. You will ensure the voice of children and young people is heard and informs the decisions that are made about them. This is a real opportunity to work with families to bring about positive change, and we are looking for people who are passionate about our service to join us.
Who we are looking for…
Continuation of personal and professional development including knowledge of relevant legislation, national and local policies on current issues relevant to all children’s service provision
Experience of working with service providers as part of a multi agency team/groups in supporting the care management of complex/high risk cases and direct work with children, young people, carers and families.
Level of understanding of the effects of trauma, including intergeneration trauma and loss within families and disrupted attachments has on children and families.
Ability to produce clear written reports detailing your work with families and an ability to maintain electronic records taking into account data protection legislation
To be self motivated and able to demonstrate personal autonomy with the ability to work under pressure and emotional stress whilst effectively prioritising work
