An exciting opportunity has arisen to fill two Procurement Lead posts in the Commissioning and Procurement Department, with direct line management to the Service Manager - Procurement.
These are high-profile roles leading and co-ordinating the procurement of services across Corporate or Place; ensuring that the Council fulfils its statutory duties and procures services to meet identified need.
Key elements of the role will be to:
If successful, you would work as part of a highly skilled Procurement team, to procure services, goods and works, which meet the identified needs of local residents, deliver improved outcomes, achieve value for money and support the Council Plan and the Sustainable Procurement Strategy.
These are a high-profile roles, which will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside a range of people, both within the Council and from other agencies and key stakeholder groups.
