About this opportunity
Westmorland and Furness Council is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated person to support the operational delivery of the Waste and Recycling Collections and Street Cleaning Operations across the South Lakeland Locality. The role will involve working with the operational waste team, education and enforcement officers and customer services team to resolve issues for residents ensuring that they receive the services that they need. The successful candidate will need to have experience of working with a variety of IT systems, have problem solving skills and be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Who we are looking for…
The role requires a flexible approach to the work a range of different people, and a high level of commitment to delivering excellent service is essential. The nature of the work means that the post holder will come into contact with a range of people so good communications skills both verbal and written, and a polite and helpful approach is essential.
The successful candidate will be provided with training on the systems and processes used and site safety.
The post will be based at the Kendal but required to work across the 3 depots based at Kendal, Ecclerigg and Ulverston
