About this opportunity:
Cumberland Council is currently delivering a hosted ICT for Cumberland Council, Westmorland and Furness Council and Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service. The provision of these services will be disaggregated at a future date. We are seeking to appoint a motivated and proactive Systems Development & Information Assistant to work within our hosted Education Team. This role has been allocated to Cumberland Council.
As a Systems Development & Information Assistant you will support Officers in the delivery and maintenance of the Education database MRI (formerly Capita One) assisting schools with queries who have purchased the councils School ICT support package along with supporting other bespoke IT systems. Under guidance from Officers you will flex across different tasks to ensure processes are effective, data is accurate, and staff are supported in using technology to deliver a high-quality service.

Who we’re looking for
To excel in this role, you will have experience or an interest in working with IT systems and databases with an educational context. You will have strong attention to detail and have good communication skills and can build strong relationship with fellow employees both within your team and across teams, whilst working remotely. You will be able to work across specialist areas in supporting different Officers as work demands dictate. Experience of using and/or supporting MRI would be essential for this role. Having practical experience of using MS products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and share point would be a distinct advantage. Previous experience of using SharePoint and using any call logging system would be advantageous. A proven track record of successfully working from home is preferred.
