Salary: £4.30 per hour - £159.10 per week - National Apprenticeship Wage - during first 12 months. (if 19 years old or over, after 12 months your salary will increase to minimum wage for your age)
Apprentice Incentives:
Care Leaver Supplement - The successful applicant may be paid a Care Leaver supplement up to the equivalent national minimum wage for their age, if eligible (up to their 25th birthday).
Care Leaver Bursary – Care Leavers who choose to start an apprenticeship may be eligible to receive a £1000 bursary to help the transition into the workplace (aged 16 to their 25th birthday), subject to meeting the eligibility requirements.

We have an exciting opportunity at Cumbria County Council for a care leaver who wants to make a difference to children looked after and champion the voice of care leavers across Cumbria.
As a Children Looked After and Care Leavers Ambassador Apprentice within Cumbria County Council you will have an interest in supporting the development and co-production of support services for Children Looked After and Care Leavers in Cumbria. Cumbria Children's Rights Service enables vulnerable children and young people to have a voice, campaign, represent and actively participate in the design, delivery, development and improvement of services; and to inform and influence decision making.
