Cumberland and Westmorland and Furness Councils are committed to promoting sustainable waste management practices and reducing environmental impact. We are looking for a dedicated Waste Reduction Officer to join our team and help us achieve our goals. Hosted and employed by Cumberland Council you’ll be working across the whole of Cumbria to make an impact.
You will build relationships and engage with the local community and residents through events, face to face visits, and communications to ensure best practice relating to recycling and waste reduction, raising awareness and changing behaviour.
The position is office-based at the Parkhouse Building in Carlisle with flexible working arrangements - working from home or other council offices as well as travel throughout our beautiful county. An excellent employment package is available.
This role is available on a permanent basis.
