About this opportunity
Are you looking to build a career in estates, asset management or property?
We're seeking an enthusiastic and organised Estates and Investment Assistant to join our Estates Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across one of the region's largest and most diverse property portfolios, supporting the management of around 1,500 operational and non-operational assets that help deliver vital services across Westmorland and Furness.
Working within Corporate Assets, you'll support a wide range of estates and asset management activities, from property inspections and tenant liaison to acquisitions, disposals and valuation programmes. You'll work closely with experienced property professionals, helping to deliver projects that maximise the value and performance of the Council's assets while contributing to wider organisational priorities.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their knowledge and experience within the property sector. Whether you're already working in a property-related environment or looking to take the next step in your career, you'll be supported to grow your skills and build a strong foundation in estates and asset management. The Council is particularly keen to attract candidates who are motivated to develop professionally and who may wish to work towards recognised qualifications in the future.
We're looking for someone with strong organisational skills, a positive approach to problem-solving and the confidence to build effective working relationships with colleagues, tenants, partners and members of the public. In return, you'll become part of a supportive team, gain exposure to a varied and rewarding workload and play a key role in helping the Council make the best use of its property assets for the benefit of local communities.
