As a Ceremony Officer, you’ll be at the heart of some of life’s most meaningful moments. Working flexibly as part of a supportive and professional team, you’ll deliver high‑quality ceremonial and celebratory services for customers attending the Register Office or one of Cumbria’s beautiful, approved venues.
From joyful weddings and civil partnerships to other significant life events, you’ll help create ceremonies that are memorable, personal and delivered with care, dignity and professionalism.
In line with General Register Office legislation, established procedures and Council standards, you will:
Uphold all legal, procedural and legislative requirements, ensuring compliance while providing an excellent customer experience.

Demand for ceremonies varies seasonally, so hours will fluctuate during the year. As such, this role may not be suitable as a sole source of income.
