The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

The Westmorland and Furness Children’s Safeguarding Hub are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated social worker to join a team that is passionate about making the right decisions for children and families at the right time. The Westmorland and Furness Safeguarding Hub has a responsibility to accurately identify the needs of children, young people and their parents and carers and to ensure that the appropriate services and support are provided in a timely way.
We want to meet an enthusiastic and creative social worker who wants to be part of our experienced multi-agency team working collaboratively and efficiently to make good decisions which keep children safe.
We are looking for a social worker who can respond to risk and understand how to prioritise safeguarding and support needs for children. We have high aspirations for our children and high expectations of each other so that we can work together to ensure that children are at the heart of our practice.

DBS
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an Enhanced DBS check with a Children’s and Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults and children. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults and children.
