About this opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join Westmorland and Furness Council’s Technical Services team as a Technical Services Officer, supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our Planning, Building Control, and Street Naming & Numbering services.
The Technical Services team provides essential administrative and technical support across the Council’s regulatory functions; ensuring that applications, records, and data are accurate, accessible, and processed efficiently. This vital work underpins the effective delivery of planning and building control decisions, helping to ensure transparency, compliance, and high standards of public service.
As a Technical Services Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality technical and administrative support. Reporting to the Technical Services team leader, you’ll ensure that applications and requests are registered and processed accurately and efficiently whilst playing a key part in delivering excellent customer service.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service. You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team committed to helping shape the growth and development of Westmorland and Furness.
