About this opportunity
We have exciting opportunities to join our dedicated and supportive Social Worker Teams across Westmorland and Furness, as a Social Worker (Cross Service). You’ll be primarily based within one of the following service areas – Older Adults and Physical Disabilities, Safeguarding, or Care Homes – depending on your skills, interests, and the needs of the Service, covering either the South Lakes or Eden area. You will also provide flexible support to cover long‑term absences and help reduce agency usage, which means you may move between teams as and when required.
As a Cross Service Social Worker, you may additionally be deployed to support our Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Teams when needed. This cross‑service approach gives you the opportunity to broaden your experience, develop your professional skills, and make a meaningful contribution across a diverse range of needs.

We’re looking for a qualified, registered Social Worker with strong experience in adult services, confident case management skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations.
You’ll bring strong knowledge of legislation and best practice, work collaboratively with partners, communicate effectively, and create person‑centred solutions. If you’re organised, proactive, and committed to positive outcomes, you’ll thrive with us.
