We are looking for someone who will be both passionate and committed to supporting communities to explore and consider new travel choices, enabling them to improve their health and wellbeing through increased levels of physical activity.
This is an opportunity to join the Travel Actively Team, that comprises of a Project Officer in each of the two identified locations of Carlisle, and Barrow, working closely with the Development Officers within their team to manage and support the delivery of this exciting new programme, which benefits from a £1.5m DfT award.
The Project Officer position in Barrow is crucial to us achieving a modal shift to active travel, providing people with travel choices, and supporting changes in behaviour.
You will be a highly organized individual with excellent project management skills, who is able to engage and influence a range of key partners to achieve our vision.
The position will complement the existing Active Cumbria Team and will support our mission of ‘improving lives through physical activity’ and our vision of ‘everyone in Cumbria is enjoying an active lifestyle’.
