Job Title: Visitor Host
Salary: £13.47 per hour
Hours: Flexible hours over a 7-day rota
Location: Cumberland Museum sites
(primary base: The Beacon Museum, Whitehaven)
About this opportunity
As a Visitor Host, you will welcome and assist visitors across Cumberland Museum sites, with your primary base at The Beacon Museum, Whitehaven. You will help deliver an excellent visitor experience by providing information and assistance throughout their visit to ensure they have a full and enjoyable experience. The role involves explaining and selling the range of entry tickets available; providing information about current exhibitions, the galleries, and the local area; taking bookings; answering enquiries; processing shop sales; handling and reconciling cash; spending time on the exhibition floors engaging with visitors; and supporting events across our museum venues.
Excelling in customer service and the ability to work as part of a flexible team is essential.
These roles are available on a casual/zero hours basis. Hours to be agreed based on service requirements. Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and occasional evenings is essential.
While The Beacon Museum, Whitehaven will be your primary base, you will be required to work across Cumberland Museum sites to meet service needs. Travel between sites is an essential requirement of this role.
