We’re now recruiting for a Part-Time Ferry Host to join Westmorland and Furness Council, helping to deliver a first-class service on the iconic ferry route between Bowness and Hawkshead.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the team operating The Mallard, providing a friendly and welcoming experience for all passengers while supporting the day-to-day running of this much-loved service.
As a Ferry Host, you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of the ferry, assisting passengers, managing embarkation and disembarkation, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment on board. You’ll be on hand to provide information and support to travellers, helping to create a positive experience from start to finish.
You’ll receive full training and become part of the wider Highways Operations team, who work hard to keep the Cumbrian transport network moving efficiently.
