Lapstone House are recruiting for an experienced Cook to join our team and develop their knowledge and skills, especially with nutrition and dietary planning. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a difference in the resident’s lives, as each of their dietary and care needs will be catered to.
The Role
As a cook, you will be required to plan, prepare, and serve meals that are nutritionally balanced and that meet specific dietary needs. You will support the day to day running of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards, completing paperwork, and ensuring adherence to infection control and Environmental Health procedures.
The right candidate will learn and understand the individual needs of each resident, developing and adapting their meal plans to meet their nutritional needs.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is motivated, positive, and methodical. You do not need to have had previous experience in a residential home, however we would love to hear from people with an awareness of Diabetic meals and high nutrition recipes, as well as people with a willingness to think outside the box and adapt to the varied needs of our residents.
You will need to be a genuinely caring and dedicated individual. You will be joining a friendly, hardworking, and supportive team, who always strive to ensure an environment of safety and respect.
