About this opportunity
We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to manage our Building Control Team. Reporting direct to the Assistant Director of Thriving Place and Investment, you will have responsibility for a client focussed team of officers who provide the Council's' building control service.You will hold membership of an appropriate professional body (ABE, RICS) with extensive knowledge of the Building Regulations and the delivery of a customer focussed service. Responsible for the delivery of the day to day service you will also have the opportunity to develop service partnerships and expand the service into new markets. You will take a lead role in delivering partnership arrangements that will provide opportunities for growth, increased resilience and new opportunities for staff. Demonstrating strong leadership skills and a ‘can do’ approach, you will be ready to lead the team to high performance and deliver a top quality service to our clients and community.
