About this opportunity
The Programme Manager – CQC Readiness will lead the strategic improvement programme across Adult Social Care, specifically to ensure the readiness for CQC Assurance Framework inspection visit(s) and to ensure that all processes, systems, data, governance, reporting and evidential documentation is in place.
This role has overall responsibility for planning, control, leadership and delivery of the organisational support for the independent, regulatory and statutory services for adults.
We are looking for a self-reliant and driven candidate with a background Health and Social Care and an excellent understanding of the CQC assurance process. The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing at a senior level and delivering complex programmes of work. It is not yet known when exactly Westmorland and Furness Council will undergo its assurance inspection, but it could be anytime from April 2024 onwards. Therefore, the successful candidate will also need a track record of working at pace and engaging multiple stakeholders across complex programmes to deliver results.
You will report to the Assistant Director of Quality, Resources and Transformation, working closely with the Director as well as the other ADs across Adult Social Care as a member of the Directorate Management Team.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults.
