Contract: Permanent
The Community Equipment Service provides a range of equipment and services to Health and Social Care customers across Cumbria to enable people to continue to live at home and to remain independent for as long as possible.
The service we deliver is fast paced, challenging and makes a real difference to people’s lives.
We now have an exciting opportunity to join our team at our Ulverston depot as Operations Technician.
About the role
Our operations technicians play a pivotal part of the success of the service we provide by being responsible for the day-to-day activities associated with the running of the warehouse facility regarding the receipt, management, and dispatch of products.
Managing goods in, quality assurance and putting away of returned stock via our electronic stock management system means that you must be confident using ICT equipment to record stock movement activities.
Who we are looking for
Due to the wide range of equipment provided we are looking to appoint an operations technician with a focus on specialist children’s equipment to be responsible for the identifying of available stock, along with the adjusting of products to meet specific requirements. This role will work alongside our other operations technicians already providing support to generic equipment provision and specialist seating.
An understanding of disability related equipment would be advantageous but being solution focused and keeping everything in its place in a warehouse environment are the key skills needed in this role. Full training will be provided to the successful applicants.
Applicants must be physically fit as this position involves a significant amount of manual handling activities. Normal hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm, and Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm.
