The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

About this opportunity
Edington Day Services requires a Senior Suppport Officer to support the delivery of Day Opportunities for adults with learning disabilities.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team delivering quality services to Adults with learning Disabilities including those with complex support needs within a day centre and the community settings.
The Role
As a Senior Support Officer, you will work closely with the Supervisor to assist in the operation and improvement of the service, assist in the development of care programmes, plans and activities to support the physical, emotional, and social needs of individuals. You will also lead teams and support the development of other staff through guidance, encouragement and mentoring activity.
You will be required to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders, manage risk, maintain accurate records (using appropriate ICT systems), and ensure health and safety requirements are met. Our team are passionate about developing and promoting a person-centred quality services for individual service users. This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults.
