Salary: 27 741 - 28 672
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

1 x 37 hours per week
1 x 22.5 hours per week
Workbase: This role is usually based at Craven House, Barrow, and will include some working from home.
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term – secondment opportunities would be considered, as well as applications from both internal and external candidates.

Our Adult Long-Term Team in Furness are looking to temporarily recruit a full time and part time non-qualified Social Care Worker to join their Long-Term Team in Furness for a 12-month period.
About the role
As a Social Care Worker, you will undertake strengths-based assessments and deliver appropriate person centred support and outcomes for people in Cumbria who have care and support needs.
You will work under supervision and guidance for designated case work. Where cases become more complex, and in negotiation with the line-manager, case responsibility may transfer to a professionally qualified practitioner. You will be expected to work in ways that promote independence and enable individuals/groups to maximise their strengths.
Our Service
This service will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders from across the health and social care system and third sector and voluntary groups in Cumbria in ways that recognise strengths, promotes independence, and prevents, reduces, or delays the need for formal long-term care and support provision. Assessments and reviews will be undertaken in a strengths-based way that maximises the use of social capital and community-based assets.
