We are seeking a Digitisation Technician to digitise archive material by scanning, digital photography and digitisation of audio records to create digital access to records of West Cumbria's industrial history.
The successful candidate must have a high degree of personal organisational skills and reasonable administrative experience, and the ability to demonstrate accuracy, consistency and attention to detail as a key part of the role will be managing the metadata and data storage for the digital content. It is also essential that the successful candidate has experience of using scanning and photographic equipment, image processing software, projects and handling archive or museum items; they also will require a knowledge of procedures and standards around recording and processing metadata.

The post is initially for 1 year full-time, but part-time working over a longer period would be considered (please indicate this on your application form).
