Salary: £49,841 - £51,948
Hours: 37 hours per week, fulltime
Workbase: Parkhouse, Carlisle or County Hall, Kendal with the option of hybrid working

Cumbria County Council is looking for candidates with significant experience in the quantity surveying, commercial and contract management fields to provide a senior programme level client-side support and leadership for significant projects and programmes which contribute to the delivery of the Council Plan or allied strategies and plans.
This role will be responsible for oversight of commercial and surveying matters on projects / contracts up to £30million. The role will help to deliver highways programmes of work including major infrastructure pipeline projects in Cumbria.
With light touch support from the Capital Programme Control Manager, candidates will provide expert commercial and surveying input for major contracts or multiple smaller contracts at any or all programme life-cycle stages from initial feasibility to completion and asset handover. The candidate will be used to standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC) and should be used to managing supplier relationships in complex commercial settings where public money is being spent, often under grant funding conditions.
