We have opportunities for caring and compassionate people to join our Cumbria Care teams in Carlisle and surrounding areas, as Support Workers (Carer, Care Worker, Care Assistant). We currently have vacancies across the following Services:
Residential Care
Help older adults live their life how they choose and enjoy their later years. Support people to stay active and healthy by encouraging good nutrition and promoting fitness and mobility, as well as supporting emotional wellness.
Support at Home (Reablement and Domiciliary)
Help people to stay at, or return to, their own homes to live as independently as possible. Reablement is a short-term intervention, helping people to get back on their feet and regain their skills, and Support at Home helps those with longer term needs.
Disability and Mental Health
Day Services & Supported Living
Help people to build their independence and skills, supporting people with learning disabilities to live a full life and be part of their local community.
Residential Care (DMH)
Provide both long term care and respite, promoting independence and skills and providing 24 hour support to adults with a learning disability within a residential home.
Extra Care Housing
Support older adults to live independently the way they choose. Extra Care Housing provides support to people living within an assisted living community, everyone has their own home environment such as a flat, bungalow or within a retirement village.
About the role
Working in one of the above services, as a Support Worker (Carer, Care Worker, Care Assistant) you will get the opportunity to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You may also assist with medication, providing personal care, and encouraging our people to achieve or maintain independence.
No experience or qualifications are needed to get started. We will help and support you with fully paid training and development – we are looking for the right people, with the right qualities. This role requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults
