The Cumberland Safeguarding Hub are looking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Team Manager, to join a service that is passionate about making the right decisions for children and families at the right time.
Cumberland Safeguarding Hub has a responsibility to accurately identify the needs of children, young people and their parents and carers and to ensure that the appropriate services and support are provided at the right time allowing safeguarding outcomes to be achieved.
We want to meet an enthusiastic and experienced Team Manager who will work with us continuing to develop the Hub bringing creative responses which will keep children safe. Someone who will work collaboratively in our experienced multi-agency team, continuing to build and sustain good relationships and modelling the relationship based practice which underpins our team ethos and work with families.
You will have oversight and decision making of all contacts which are made to Cumberland Safeguarding Hub. You will be able to identify and respond to risk and understand how to prioritise safeguarding and support needs for children. We welcome working with a supportive Team Manager who can communicate with clarity and confidence.
You will have responsibility for the supervision of staff, undertake audits and lead on practice development across the service and with individual staff. You will also share joint responsibility for the performance of the team, ensuring that it is compliant with legislation.

This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults and Children’s Barred List check.
