Salary: Level 2 - £4.15 per hour - £153.55 per week - National Apprenticeship Wage - during first 12 months (if 19 years old or over, after 12 months your salary will increase to minimum wage for your age)
Level 3 - at the appropriate salary rate for Training Lead Adult Care Workers
Hours: 37 hours per week

Cumbria County Council Care Academy is a new and exciting opportunity to join an innovative new programme to support apprentices who aspire to become Managers and Senior Carers. The successful applicant will complete a Level 2 qualification with a guarantee to progress onto a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker. This exciting opportunity will enable you to work within different sectors to gain an in depth experience of the care services offered at Cumbria County Council.

Adult Support Care Workers need to have the right values and behaviours, developing competences and skills to provide high quality compassionate care and support. They are the frontline staff who help adults with care and support needs to achieve their personal goals and live as independently and safely as possible, enabling them to have control and choice in their lives which is at the heart of person centred care.
This is an excellent opportunity that offers a wide range of transferable skills.
Essential Criteria
Please note that your application will be assessed against the Qualifications; Skills and Personal Qualities and Behaviours listed in the Apprenticeship Description. In your application form you must therefore clearly demonstrate:
1. That you meet all qualification requirements, and
2. That you have or would develop, the skills, personal
qualities and behaviours required of the role and provide examples where possible.
Academy Assessments and Eligibility Checks will take place between 9th and 27th March 2020. All applicants will be invited to attend on a specific day and must be available to attend on the day specified in order to be considered for the next stage in the recruitment process.
Cumbria County Council will share some of the details you have included in your application form i.e. name; date of birth; home address; email address; telephone/mobile number and qualifications with its commissioned apprenticeship training providers for the purpose of the recruitment, training and management of the apprenticeship programme.
