Salary: £25,481 - £25,991
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and / or working conditions of the role.

Are you a hard-working and experienced Highways operative, looking for the next step in your career?
We are looking to recruit a Highways Team Leader, to support with the supervision and organisation of teams and ensure that a culture of performance, safety and quality is embedded within the service.
About the role
You will be responsible for a wide range of highways maintenance and construction type work, the right candidate will be supervising a small team, ensuring that they are operating at optimum performance and the outputs of the team meet or exceed targets.
You will also be required to assist the Stewards in the programming and ordering of materials and plant needed by the team to deliver their tasks, always guaranteeing the team is operating safely and adhering to procedures. You will also be required to conduct Out of Hours duties in response to adverse weather and incidents on the highways.
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate for this role will be organised, focused, and have a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all your team completes work to the expected quality. We are looking for someone who has proven experience of motivating and leading staff, who can be positive, dedicated and ensure a culture of teamwork.
A full UK Driving Licence is essential, as well as experience in a relevant field with the use of plant and equipment associated with the role. This is a customer focused service, so personal conduct is key, as is good levels of communication.
We are also looking for someone who can adapt well to the demands of the service, who can travel throughout Cumbria and surrounding areas, and who are willing to take part in winter maintenance function or other out of hours functions.
