Social Care Worker – Workington
Salary: £28,226 - £29,174 (pro rata)
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Workbase: Based at West Cumbria House, Workington, but also flexible working available

Social Care Worker – Long Term Intervention Team
We have an exciting opportunity to work as a Social Care Worker within a friendly, innovative Adult Social Care team based at West Cumbria House, Workington.
As a Social Care Worker, you will be a key part of the Long-Term Intervention team, working to undertake person-centred assessments and support. You will work closely with Social Workers and Occupational therapists, who will offer supervision and guidance, and there will also be regular support from your line-manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to begin their career in Adult Social Care, and the ideal person will have awareness of working with vulnerable adults with physical disabilities and mental disorders. You will work in ways that promote independence and enable people to maximise their strengths, working with stakeholders for better outcomes.
We are a supportive and hard-working team, and robust training is given, as well as regular management engagement and supervision. We are looking for a strong communicator, with great interpersonal skills, and someone who can contribute to a culture that enables and empowers our customers and their carers.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults.
