The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

About Day Services (DMH)
Kendal Day Services have a diverse range of Day Opportunities for adults with a physical and/or learning disability. The support offered is highly personalised to meet the needs of the individual and promote and maintain independence. Westmoreland and Furness services operate from various sites across the district and provides exciting day opportunities, tailored care programmes and activities including, drama, art, rebound therapy and horticultural.
About the role
As a Day service Support Worker you will get to know people individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. You will also assist with medication, providing personal care, and encouraging people to achieve their full potential. We are looking for support workers who are flexible, enthusiastic, willing to undertake specialised activities and training whilst also sharing your own personal skills, interests and ideas.
No experience or qualifications are needed to get started. We will help and support you with fully paid training and development – we are looking for the right people, with the right qualities. DBS
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 and requires an enhanced DBS check with a Adults Barred List check.
Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with adults. It is an offence for people who are barred from working in regulated activity to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults.
