About this opportunity
The Community Equipment Service (CES) provides a range of equipment and services to Health and Social Care customers to enable people in Cumberland to continue to live at home and to remain independent for as long as possible.
The service we deliver is fast paced, challenging and makes a real difference to people’s lives.
We now have an exciting opportunity to join our team at Maryport. We are looking to recruit 3 Driver Technicians on Zero Hours contracts to support our existing Driver Technician team to cover for holiday and sickness and peaks in demand.
We operate from our depot in Maryport, however this is a role that is largely field based, with daily face to face contact with customers, their families and carers in the customer’s own homes or care homes. It requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. No two days are the same, and you will have the added benefit of being out and about in one of the most scenic areas of the UK.
Key tasks include:
Whilst specific product knowledge is not an essential requirement of the role, having some understanding of the functions and use of disability related equipment would be an advantage.
Normal hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm (4.00pm Friday)
