Salary: £20,092 - £20,493 (pro rata)
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

We are looking for a kind, dedicated, and hard-working person to join our friendly team at Grisedale Croft Residential Home. You will join us as a Night Support Worker, providing excellent care and vital cover in our home.
Our Home
Grisedale Croft Residential Home provides a safe, caring and home from home environment for up to 13 residents with different levels of health care needs. Situated close to all facilities in the town of Alston, we offer residential care and community health beds for those who are elderly, frail or have dementia.
The Role:
As a Night Support Worker, you will support our residents between 9.45pm and 7.30am, and this is an incredibly important role in our homes; one where you will get to know our residents individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. It is a challenging and rewarding role, so we are looking for genuinely caring and dedicated individuals, who have a willingness to learn and an understanding of what is needed to care for someone.
You will be responsible for administering medication, ensuring all security checks are completed, dealing with emergencies, and assisting our residents with any of their needs. It’s a role with a great deal of responsibility, and we are looking for people with good responses, the ability to adapt, and who can make safe and confident decisions to support the wellbeing of our residents.
Who we are looking for
To be a Night Support Worker, you need to be friendly, responsible, and passionate about looking after people and supporting our resident’s wellbeing. An NVQ2 in Health and Care is essential.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check with an Adults Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Adults.
Covid-19 Vaccination
From 11 November 2021 everyone working in a care home including agency staff and other professional visitors are legally required to be fully vaccinated unless they are medically exempt or visiting due to an emergency.
We expect all candidate's to be able to show evidence of being fully vaccinated or medically exempt. You will only be able to start employment if you are able to provide this evidence.
