Salary: £61,549 - £64,956 (3 SPA points available, up to £68,419)

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, innovative and adaptable education improvement professional to join the Learning Improvement Service team in Cumbria.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a highly motivated, dedicated and supportive team. You will be able to make a leading contribution, in collaboration with our partners, to the further development of a system-led approach to school improvement for the benefit of all children and young people in our wonderful county.
In addition to undertaking Local Authority duties relating to monitoring and intervention in schools, the role will also provide the exciting opportunity to work with the Local Alliance of System Leaders (LASL) and multi-agency partners within the North of Cumbria to identify local solutions for children and families. Experience of, and an interest in SEND advisory work is essential.
The successful applicant will:
*Lead an area team and work with all key stakeholders involved in school improvement to further promote and develop a system-led collaborative partnership for Cumbria to improve outcomes for all, from early years to post-16.
*Work with relevant Local Authority services, including our SEND and Inclusion Team colleagues to ensure that statutory functions are effectively met.
*Develop a range of solutions that encourage collaboration and support sector-led school improvement.
*Commission, deliver and quality assure school support and maximise the use of the strengths and resources available in the alliance.
*Have experience of developing strategies for improving provision and outcomes in education, and have a knowledge of secondary and post-16 requirements.
*Work closely with the relevant Chair of the Local Alliance of System Leaders (LASL North) to identify, broker and monitor support for schools. academies. settings and providers in the north of Cumbria.
*Have a secure knowledge of the Local Area SEND Inspection Framework
