Workstream Project Manager Level 1 – Carlisle Southern Link Road (CSLR)
Salary: £44,624 - £45,648
Hours: 37 hours per week
Workbase: Parkhouse Building, Carlisle.
Contract: Fixed Term until 31st March 2023
We are looking for a Workstream Project Manager to join the County Council’s Capital Programme team working directly on the Carlisle Southern Link Road (CSLR) project. This role provides a truly exciting opportunity to make an impact for the people of Cumbria.
The CSLR is a £200m infrastructure project which aims to enable the successful delivery of the proposed St Cuthbert’s Garden Village development, improve east-west connectivity and enhance the highway network around Carlisle. The CSLR project involves the construction of a new 8km single carriageway road with several significant structures including a new bridge over the River Caldew and Cumbrian Coast Line railway and a bridge over the West Coast Main Line.
The CSLR project team are working to procure a contractor for the next stage; the successful candidate will be an excellent team player capable of building positive working relationships with a focus on delivering value for money for the Council.
The role will involve working closely with the Council’s wider Capital Programme team responsible for the delivery of a programme worth approximately £120m per annum supporting a diverse range of front-line services and back-office functions including children’s services, adult services, highways, corporate buildings and fire service.
