The 21st century library service plays an important role in our communities, providing a wide range of resources including books, digital literature, trusted information and educational support. Libraries offer safe, welcoming spaces, where people can explore, interact and imagine in an inclusive environment. Libraries are centres of culture for all levels and ages that educate and inspire their communities. Libraries support their communities' diverse needs whether with digital literacy, job finding skills or signposting via professionally selected health collections.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and highly motivated person who enjoys team working that will support the efficient and effective delivery of the Library and Archive Service. You will need to be polite and welcoming with a passion for good customer service. You will be expected to promote a positive image of the Library Service and to have a flexible approach to work.
This is an excellent opportunity that offers a wide range of transferable skills.
Aptitude Assessments and Eligibility Checks will take place between 1st and 12th April 2019. All applicants will be invited to attend on a specific day and must be available to attend on the day specified in order to be considered for the next stage in the recruitment process.
