Salary: £27,741 - £28,672
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.

Our Transport Services Team and Mechanics maintain and repair vehicles and associated equipment to the required standards to ensure that the Council can meet its operational and other commitments, including all statutory requirements as defined under the Authority's Operator Licences.
The Role:
You will work alongside other Mechanics and be jointly responsible delivering vehicle inspections, MOT preparation and presentation, vehicle repairs, the repair and maintenance of a wide range of light and heavy vehicles as well as items of small plant and the Windermere Ferry.
Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have a City & Guilds NVQ level 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance and will have a proven track record as a Mechanic working in a busy multi-disciplined workshop environment. They will have a flexible approach including the ability to undertake out of hours call outs on a rota basis, as well as holding a minimum Category: C or Cat: D driving licence and preferably a DCPC qualification.
