Salary: 31,985 - 32,798
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.
Hours: 37 hours per week
Work base: Craven House, Barrow or County Hall, Kendal

A vacancy has arisen for a Social Worker to be based within the Children Looked After Team. We are looking for a motivated, hard-working, and dedicated person to join our team as a Social Worker; developing and delivering exceptional service to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families.

The Role
As a Social Worker, you will be allocated work in-line with the needs of the children who are Looked After and Proceedings have been concluded and need an experienced social worker to be allocated to them so that plans can be worked and the local authority can complete its statutory responsibilities. This role will require travel (inside and outside of Cumbria) as you will have to undertake statutory visits to the children and young people, some who are placed at a distance.
