Salary: Soulbury EIP 12 -15 currently £50,541 - £54,598 (SPA 16 – 18 £55,854 - £58,350)
Hours: 37 hours per week

Cumbria Music Service and the Music Education Hub (MEH) Partnership would like to appoint a dynamic Music Service & MEH Manager. We are looking for a committed and passionate individual, to provide professional leadership, supporting and developing opportunities for young people across Cumbria to access high quality, inclusive music education.
About the role
As the Music Service & MEH Manager you will lead the strategic planning and development of the Music Service and the Music Education Hub partnership through engagement with a range of internal and external partners and stakeholders, maintaining and creating new partnerships and networks. You will also be writing and reporting on business plans and grant applications, while maintaining operational overview of the Music Service. This will include operating the business as a traded service within the context of local government policy and procedures. As the lead for the MEH you will be expected to deliver against the aspirations of the current national plan supported by MEH funding through Arts Council England to ensure children have the opportunity to sing and learn to play instruments.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a qualified and experienced candidate, with significant and successful current experience of working in or with peripatetic teaching staff in a music or other setting. You will need exceptional communication skills, and bring an innovative, dynamic approach to developing and overseeing the service and MEH partnership.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children.
